Julia Jerzak from Łuków just missed the podium – success at the nationwide waiter competition On March 20th at the Vocational Schools Complex No. 3 in Siedlce, the seventh edition of the prestigious nationwide competition Young Waiters Championships 2025 took place, organized in cooperation with the Polish Waiters Association. Julia Jerzak from the School Complex No. 2 in Łuków represented her school in the competition, showcasing exceptional skills and professionalism, coming just one point short of the podium. The competition included students from 20 culinary schools from all over Poland. Julia, a third-grade student studying to become a waiter, was trained for the competition by her teacher, Anna Przeździak. The competition featured a knowledge test on waiter service, as well as practical tasks such as serving fruit juice, table setting, French-style serving, and finally, serving non-alcoholic red wine. The Young Waiters Championships not only test knowledge and skills but also promote young talents, passion for the profession, and the waiters career opportunities in the culinary industry, fostering networking and professional growth among participants.
